PR: NuSphere Offers Commercial Support for MySQL
Dec 13, 2000, 14 :24 UTC (0 Talkback[s]) (835 reads)

BUSINESS WIRE -- NuSphere Corporation, provider of NuSphere MySQL, announced today it now offers extended support services for the MySQL database. A variety of support offerings will be available as annual subscriptions through the company's Web site.

Subscribers to NuSphere MySQL Developer Support are entitled to one year of web-based technical support including bi-monthly CD updates of the software. Platinum Support is offered for customers who have mission-critical data in a MySQL database and want to have phone support in addition to web-based support. 24x7 Support is available for those whose mission-critical data requires maximum uptime and round the clock support.

The packaged distribution comes with 30 days of Installation Support to ensure that the configuration of MySQL, PHP, Perl and Apache software is working on the NuSphere supported platforms.

"The extended support services offer us the extra technical support that until recently was unavailable elsewhere," said James Martin, technology coordinator for the Educational Talent Search (University of Arkansas). "We are able to stay on top of the latest advances and maintain the quality of our database which is helping us to serve our student population. We anticipate that the CD updates that NuSphere's services provide will help us maximize the benefits of our MySQL database."

"As developers stretch the capabilities of the MySQL database, they benefit enormously from the support that NuSphere is providing. Whether you're prototyping or developing an application that is integral to your business, it's imperative that you can get questions answered as they arise," said D. Britton Johnston, CTO, of NuSphere. "It's frustrating, not to mention inefficient, to spin your wheels when help is available. We offer users the expertise they need to enable their systems."

NuSphere Developer Support costs $299 per year. Platinum Support and 24X7 Support are tailored to suit the requirements of specific enterprises and are priced accordingly.
