Linux 2.4 should give a big boost to Apache
Note the following point from the Netcraft site:

Zeus seems to be gaining increasing traction, strongly stimulated by last year's much publicised Mindcraft study, which aimed to show that Apache's performance was relatively limited at serving simple static content.

That should change with the 2.4 kernel, which incorporates the http protocol in the kernel to speed up the static services. By early 2001, the movement to open source software will become a stampede.

  Don't forget Apache 2.0!
Apache 2.0 + Linux 2.4 should blow the pants off all-comers!
