RSA Security today announced that Covalent Technologies, the leading provider of Apache Web server e-commerce solutions, has licensed RSA BSAFE SSL-C software for inclusion in its Raven SSL security module for the open-source Apache Web server platform. As a result, the Raven SSL module for Apache offers Web administrators the benefit of RSA Security's latest encryption software to more securely transmit sensitive data over the Internet.
"The combination of encryption components from RSA, which is renowned in the e-security industry, with Covalent's Raven SSL module -- the security standard in the Apache arena-makes for a very potent alliance," said Ryan Lindsay, director of operations and support at Covalent. "Our clients want the most robust and dependable e-businesses security solution, and using RSA Security products helps our customers achieve their goals."
"Our leading security software provides Covalent with the proven performance and stability that their customers demand," said Scott Schnell, senior vice president of marketing at RSA Security. "Plus, by adding RSA Security components to the Raven SSL module, Covalent's customers benefit from combining first-class security software with Apache -- the most popular and reliable Web server software on the Internet."
The RSA BSAFE line of security software is embedded in today's most successful Internet applications, including Web browsers, wireless devices, commerce servers, e-mail systems and virtual private network products. Built to provide implementations of standards such as SSL, SMIME, WTLS, IPSec and PKCS, RSA BSAFE products can save developers time and risk in their development schedules.
